This agreement sets out the terms and conditions that will govern the relationship between you, the student or a parent of a student, and Urban Strides LLP. It is a legally binding agreement. These Rules are important to maintain standards and to ensure that all students and parents gain the maximum benefit from their Urban Strides tuition.
Conduct
The Urban Strides student may be asked to leave by the instructor if the student’s behaviour is deemed to negatively affect the educational experience of another student.
Each instructor may have additional expectations of behaviour and conduct which the Urban Strides student, parent or guest are duty bound to adhere to.
Punctuality
In order to avoid disturbing classes, the student attending the class is requested to arrive in good time. Entrance to classes may be prohibited to anyone arriving more than fifteen (15) minutes late.
Urban Strides’ duty of care for your child is only during the stated class times and on the condition they adhere to the rules of behaviour and conduct given by the instructor. Please ensure you are punctual to collect your child after the class finish time.
Payment
The minimum class payment period is two [2] months. You must pay the monthly tuition subscription by Direct Debit for the minimum membership period unless your membership is terminated without liability, suspended or transferred in accordance with these terms.
Fees are calculated based on the number of classes scheduled during a year (will differ depending on each class) and will be based on the academic school term. Payment for the classes is then spread over payments per calendar month (Discounted fees will vary). Class timetables and instructors are subject to change from time to time without notice.
We can suspend class membership during the minimum membership period in the event that the student is unable to attend class for a period of one month or more due to unforeseen injury or illness. This will be attended to on a case by case basis and evidence of a doctor’s letter may be required.
If a payment is unable to be met by the due date the right to attend an Urban Strides class will be withdrawn until payment has been settled and brought up to date.
Interest is payable (whether before or after judgment) on any sums not paid when due at the rate of 4% p.a. above the base lending rate of HSBC Bank calculated daily. If late payment is settled by another payment method an additional nominal admin fee of £5 will be charged. If late payments persist you may have your tuition revoked.
Without prejudice to any other right or remedy that we may have, if you fail to pay us the Membership Fees on any due date we may: raise a late payment charge if the debt remains unpaid after 7 days. Where such sum has been outstanding for more than 28 days, engage a collections agency to pursue you for the debt. You agree that you will be responsible for all costs of the agency seeking to recover payment from you.
At the end of the minimum membership period your membership will automatically continue unless either party cancels by giving the other at least one month’s notice.
If you agree to undertake additional classes the additional costs will be added to your monthly payment.
Exchanging your class place to someone else is not permitted, but you may have the opportunity to transfer to another class at the discretion of Urban Strides Tuition LLP.
You may at times purchase additional classes, camps or workshops that you agree to the cost being added to your next direct debit deduction under the discretion of Urban Strides tuition LLP.
Liability
Agreeing to attend an Urban Strides class is declaration of your fitness to participate. If you are unsure as to your fitness to participate please seek guidance from a medical professional. Urban Strides instructors and assistants are not qualified medical professionals. The liability of Urban Strides and that of its staff is restricted to class time only and then only to gross negligence.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you, save in respect of death or personal injury caused by our negligence shall be limited to the total amount you have paid for your membership.
Urban Strides staff are not liable for any loss, theft or damage of any property you choose to bring to class.
Class cancellation
No refunds will be given for any cancelled classes. If a class is cancelled for unforeseen circumstances we will endeavor to offer an alternative.
Termination
We may terminate the student’s Urban Strides membership at any time if any of the rules of conduct or payment are breached.
You may terminate this agreement at any time without liability if the tuition the student is offered falls below, on more than one occasion, the standards reasonably expected to be provided.
This agreement may be terminated if either party is in serious breach of its obligations to the other.
Payment is due on the same date each month (depending on the 1st date of attendance at class) and cannot be changed. Payment must be made by direct debit mandate.
